Person.com is an online dating site. It has a lot of things including forums, webcams, videos, and the ability to make your own profile as any other dating site. But the question is, how does it do on a sex-camming standpoint? Well, not too good I’m afraid to say.
First off I have to say, this site actually seems to have a lot of members, and the forums seem pretty active. But with that said, this site just isn’t user-friendly. It’s pretty difficult to navigate, well, assimilate to. I remember the first time I logged on and setup my profile, I logged out, then logged on a few hours later. After that I jumped over to the webcam section, and noticed it had a Safe and Unsafe tab. The Safe — of course — meant that the users of the cams aren’t displaying any “lustful” acts, and Unsafe, yep, you’ve guessed it — all about getting “wild”, but there’s not really enough women on the unsafe cams for it to even be worth it.
So, of course feeling a bit frisky I hopped over to the unsafe cam tab and clicked on a cam, and it said I had to upgrade to premium of course. No surprise there, so I decided to hop back over to the safe cams and view some ladies there. I clicked on a cam, and another window popped up, and I was thinking, “hmm, I wonder what’s about to happen.” Well, it opened a pop up window, which is called IMS, where the cam popped up. I actually like that feature since you could easily minimize a window and open another so you can view both a once. So I thought to myself, lets see what happens if I click on another cam. Well, it opened another cam window. This is good because in that little space, you can fit about 7 chat windows at once, including your own .This is also bad since you can’t move any screen outside that thin stretch of space. There’s also a button you can press on your cam to take a quick snapshot of yourself, or even record yourself. You can also record and take a snapshot of another person’s cam if they have the option enabled — which can be good and bad, of course. I also like the fact that you can get a small preview of the cam before clicking on it, giving you more control over who you’d like to watch.
Anyway, I got a IM, and was like, “where the hell is it?” I had to click a tab on the left sidebar of the IMS window to get the message under the Private Chat tab. If you don’t have your browser up, it’ll flash everytime you receive a new message. Also, you can join other user’s chatrooms, and you’ll get that same flash everytime they get a new message as well, which is kind of annoying. You can join as many chat rooms as you can handle, but it’s not recommended you try more than 3 or so at once. You can also choose to broadcast your own cam, and check all that are viewing at the top of the IMS window. You can also chat with users in your own private room. The IMS window will be kind of weird when you first use it (was for me at least), but you’ll probably get use to it. I honestly got frustrated too fast with it before I learned the in-and-outs of it. You also have to be a premium member to view the unsafe videos. So in conclusion, this is not a standard login-and-get-started-type site, you’ll have to get use to it. It also isn’t a good cam site for those like me who are looking for some salacious activity. If you’re looking for casual chat with the ability to view video cams, and willing to sit down and get use to the site, then this may be a good site for you, otherwise, I’d avoid using it. But don’t take my word for it, give it a try and see for yourself.
